A “REMEDY” for European memory

Today, February 28th is the last day of Remedy project, co-funded by the Europe For Citizens programme. Among the 10 participants across Europe, there was the Albanian partner of NDSAN, the association “Shoqata Shqiptare e Ambjentalisteve Industriale”.

This important project, led by the Municipality of Geraci Siculo (Italy) and coordinated by “EProjectConsult – Istituto Europeo di Formazione e Ricerca” (Italy), had the purpose to underline the importance of remembering the past, its totalitarian regime victims and in the same time recognizing the present times.

All the partners who participated in REMEDY Project (The Voice from the Past – Recalling Memories in Diversity) shared the experience of their communities during the dictatorship years and the subsequent period of Resistance for freedom and democracy values.

The project has seen the involvement of EU citizens of younger and older generations, in order to better understand what happened in the past times.

During the implementation of the REMEDY project, 4 main international events has been organized in Italy, Poland, Germany and Estonia to ensure moments of reflections and reconciliation.

During one of these events, the Albanian partner has produced a video, available here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3yQJQIm2AI&feature=youtu.be).
